Welcome to Gaia Nature School — Knowledge What Grows

At the Gaia Nature School, we combine ancient herbal knowledge and the associated stories, mindful experiences of nature and folklore of the year to create a holistic offer for body, mind and soul. Nature can give us everything we need — we just have to learn to listen and look again.

Our mission: to invite people of all ages to experience nature more deeply — and in doing so to get to know nature and perhaps also themselves a little better. From the first flower in spring to the deep power of winter, we are with you throughout the year.

Location

Our location is nature itself — forests, meadows, clearings and all the quiet places that are waiting to be discovered. No classroom, no four walls — just fresh air, the rustling of leaves and the living world.

We travel in the region around Cologne, Düsseldorf and the Bergisches Land region and deliberately choose special natural places that suit the respective offer — from sparse beech forest for forest yoga to herb-rich meadows for our hikes. Our groups are deliberately kept small so that everyone can really get there.

Classes and events

Our offer is as diverse as nature itself:

Herb hikes — recognize and collect wild herbs and understand their healing properties. We will also tell you folklore stories and myths about herbs, plants and the annual festivals.

Eco hikes — simply enjoy nature again and learn something about our local ecosystems. How does the forest work, what is the role of insects, what can we do to help.

Workshops all year round — From Samhain to Beltane: We celebrate the seasons with rituals, herbs, natural materials and ancient knowledge.

Nature Journaling — Observing, Drawing, Amazing. In Nature Journaling, you record nature in your very personal journal. A mindfulness practice that lets you dive deeper into nature — no drawing talent required, just open eyes and a curious heart.

Forest yoga — yoga where it belongs — in the middle of nature. Yoga does not mean being separated and that is best experienced in and with nature. Grounded, free and deeply connected.

Offers for kids & families — natural discoveries that inspire children and bring families together. Playful, sensual and memorable. For birthdays or family days.

Forest Social Club is our warmest project — and best of all: it's free! On selected Sundays, we meet for joint hikes in the Bergisches Land or in the Eifel — with coffee, cake and lots of good togetherness. No program, no stress, no costs — just people who want to be outside together. We believe that nature connects. And that true analog community is a particularly important balance today. Just drop by — you're very welcome!

No previous knowledge required — just curiosity and desire for nature, small, friendly groups, outdoors in nature — an experience, materials & instructions included in any weather

Team events, private events & eco retreats

The Gaia Nature School regularly offers team events, private group events such as JGA and multi-day eco retreats — for everyone who wants to dive deeper into nature together.

Eco retreats — An entire weekend (or longer) of yoga, singing bowls, herbal knowledge, forest moments and real time out. For individuals, groups of friends or as a special gift to yourself.

Team events — Not off-the-shelf team building, but an experience that unites: being outside together, discovering herbs, experiencing forest yoga — and really arriving as a team.

Private events — birthdays, girls' trips, family reunions or simply a special day in nature — we design it together with you.

All group events are individually tailored to your wishes. Private herbal tours in your garden or on your personal hiking trail are also possible — just talk to us!
